After taking the summer off, our journey through the book of John is back!
This week, we dove into the first twenty-one verses of John, unpacking Jesus’ claim to be our Good Shepherd. A truth that reminds us of God’s desire for an intimate relationship with us, but also our responsibility to follow his leading.
As our Good Shepherd, he:
Knows our name
Knows our natures
Knows our weaknesses
Knows our needs.
If God feels distant, it’s not His doing. God desires a close and intimate relationship with us. The only logical conclusion is that we have drawn away from Him.
Are we willing to let go of what has pulled us away and run back to our Good Shepherd?
